Though the tempo of political campaigning for the by-election in the Kathmandu-1 constituency has accelerated to a fast clip, it is far from certain what fate befalls the principal actors of the February 7 election contest: Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai UML’s Bidhya Bhabdary, and RPP’s Jog Meher Shrestha.
As far as the great Vote Game goes, Bhattarai has been busy on the campaign trail, in both urban and rural areas, promising not only development goodies such as roads, water, electricity, ect, but even a brave new dawn of parliamentary democracy.
