Now, there is a new coalition government in the country. Earlier, the UML was out, and now the Nepali Congress is out of the government. Just like a musical chair game, overnight, the political scenario has changed. Those, who are in government, are already tested, and we cannot expect anything better from them, rather, the worst. We have a finance minister without knowledge and study of economics; we have a cultural minister without a sense of Nepali culture, religion, and tradition. What can we expect from such leaders in the government?
One year ago, UML was ousted dramatically. Since then, UML attempted to topple the government. Now, the UML is in government, and the Nepali Congress is making all efforts to topple the present government. NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba is dreaming about becoming prime minister for the sixth time, as said by his fortune teller. We don’t know what he is going to contribute to the nation. Oli is now the prime minister in waiting. It is said that Madhav Kumar Nepal supported this new alliance at the cost of becoming the prime minister, at least for one year. We have already seen the performance of Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal. What is his vision; we have already seen the tenure of Nepal and Oli as well. They are shamelessly practising kleptocracy, nepotism, favouritism, sycophancy and other perversions in the name of loktantra. Their habits are not going to change in future. The major characteristic of the prime minister and those prime ministers in waiting is to get a share in the Bhagbanda (sharing the cake) politics.
We have already experienced that the present political system is non-functional as well as the political leaders. How long should we run the country by taking debts, it is impossible. Therefore, a change is obvious whether we accept it or not. System change is obvious to save the nation.
