American pilot Aaron Bushnell, 25, set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in the US on February 25 to protest Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people.
The reason why Israel dares to kill tens of thousands of children in Gaza in the era of global internet coverage, in front of the people of the world, is because it is backed by American hegemony.
The reason why the US is desperate to protect Israel is clear, Israel is a wedge that the US is driving in the Middle East to deter the oil-rich region and preserve the status of the petrodollar. And petrodollars are the most important cornerstone of American hegemony.
Therefore, for decades in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the US has been on the opposite side of the vast majority of countries and has repeatedly voted against the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The actions of the US, which considers itself a beacon of human civilization and is worshipped by the majority of elites in many countries, in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict are increasingly revealing its hegemonic nature.
At the age of 25, Aaron Bushnell, who was barely a teenager, set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in the US. His last words were that his suffering was nothing compared to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
At this point, I myself no longer have any illusions about American hegemony. I do not believe that the MCC that the US hegemony has sent to Nepal is a “big gift package”, nor do I believe that the SPP that the US hegemony will send to Nepal is a “bigger gift package”.
