Children are also known as the living God on earth, and they are sometimes referred to as angels too. Similar to the love of God, which is delivered to all the creations of this universe in its utmost pure form, children too have the ability to brighten and flourish their surroundings with heavenly and innocent love. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, love is a strong feeling of affection and concern toward another person, arising from kinship or close friendship. Whereas the meaning of compassion is to show kindness, care, and a willingness to help others,. The website of Quora (www.quora.com) states that “Compassion is the intention and action of then channeling that love energy to others. Compassion, therefore, is love in action.
Talking about the energy field, it is the spiritual or etheric energy produced by an individual living being. The excerpt from Heal Yourself-Heal the World by Deborah King says, “Your personal energy field consists of the energy that flows through and around your body. This energy field can also be called your aura, as it gives out electromagnetic energy and radiates light.” The width of the energy fields tended to be short to medium all the way around, including above the head. These very young children typically had energy fields of less than 12 inches. Hence, compared to older children and adults, children are more vulnerable to getting easily affected by the types of energy around them, for an instance we can say if a child’s neighbouring environment is positive, full of love and compassion, a child can sense it very quickly and respond lovingly and happily. In such an environment a child rejoices and cherishes the essence of life which is to be joyful whereas if the adjoining environment is negative, full of hatred and polluted, a child can sense it also very fastly and respond with anger and sadness. Living in this type of environment for a long time might be hazardous to a child’s emotional health and how he/she responds to his/her parents, entire family and also the external world. So, parents need to be aware and very sincere about the surrounding environment of their child; be it the environment of a child’s school (nature of his/her teachers, friends) or the environment of a child’s home (the methods of treating and behaving with a child by his/her parents, grandparents and other family members).
The modern era’s (India-born) spiritual leader, Sadhguru preaches that, “Even though parents are big agewise in compare to their child, and have more intellectual and educational knowledge than that of their child ; in reality a child is more enriched with joy, peace and love than his/her parents.” It’s the fact that love and compassion are the traits of humanity and the essential ingredients of a quality life which directly affects our life in so many ways. As we know children always need love, compassion, support and empathy from their parents when growing up. Many researches have also shown that warm and loving relationships with parents help children grow into compassionate adults.
From the above-mentioned various concepts and ideas we can conclude that, there is a huge impact of love and compassion in a child’s life.
