Special Court Verdict: NRNA property to be confiscated

Kathmandu, February 16: With the Special Court verdict, the land of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) along with the central office building at Baluwatar will be confiscated. The NRNA’s property is also at risk as the bench of Judges Khushi Prasad Tharu, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Ritendra Thapa decided that the Lalita Niwas land will be returned to the government. When Shesh Ghale was president, NRNA bought more than 3 ropanis of land in Baluwatar at a cost of nearly 130 million rupees. Later, a building was built on the same disputed land, and the secretariat has been working from the same place.
