Kathmandu, February 10: In general, the government exchange rate of the Indian currency is set at 1 unit of the Indian currency, which equals 1.60 units of Nepali currency.
However, in the bordering towns, the exchange rate is different.
In the recent past, the exchange rate was 1.57 rupees of the Nepali currency against the Indian rupee. However, on Friday, the exchange price was set at Indian currency 1: 160 Nepali currency.
How the exchange rate is fluctuating in the bordering towns, nobody knows. Otherwise, there used to be a high demand for the Indian currency in the past. These days, shops in the Nepal side are reluctant to accept the Indian currency.
