Kathmandu, February 2: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha has said that no one can be allowed to cheat or commit a crime by forgery.DPM Shrestha said that statements and pressure will mount if employees and industrialists commit crimes and are arrested by police for investigation. Reflecting the statement made by the private sector including the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry after the arrest of businessman Arun Chaudhary on the charge of misappropriation of government land, Shrestha said that nobody can be allowed to cheat by fraud.
The high-ranking government officials will start raising their voices, saying that the employees should not have done this, Shrestha said. “Industrialists also commit mistakes and crimes and if the government starts taking action, rhetoric will start, pressure will start. Shrestha said that they are telling the country’s economy cannot flourish without private sector. However, Shrestha said that there is no excuse for anyone to commit a crime just because they have paid taxes.Addressing the province-level security conference that started on Friday in Pokhara, Shrestha instructed the employees and all security agencies to stand firm without any pressure and fear.
