Kathmandu, January 27: The Patan High Court has upheld the order of the District Court, Kathmandu to keep Rahul Mahara in judicial custody. A division bench of Justices Anju Upreti Dhakal and Dipendra Adhikari passed the order.
CPN Maoist Centre leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara’s son Rahul Mahara is still in jail in connection with the gold smuggling case.
The District Court, Kathmandu, had refused to release Mahara on bail and ordered him to remain in judicial custody. He has been charged with criminal breach of trust, customs evasion and organized crime.
