Commencement of exports to third countries via China

Kathmandu, January 27: The Nepal China Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, and the Chinese Embassy jointly inaugurated the export of Nepali goods to third countries via China. On Thursday, January 26, amidst a function, the event of starting the export to the third country was inaugurated.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Narayan Prasad Sharma Duwadi, and the Chinese Ambassador, Chen Song, jointly inaugurated the event. It is said that food grains will be exported at the initial stage. The first consignment is going to be sent from Nepal to Japan via China.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Chen said that all kinds of facilitation will be provided to export goods produced in Nepal. All the official work for the transport and transit of the Nepali consignments via China was managed by the Chinese Embassy team led by Ambassador Chen. 

Likewise, Nepal Chamber of Commerce Chairman Rajendra Malla said that good work has started with the export of goods to third countries via China. He also hoped for the cooperation of other countries, including China, in the overall development of Nepal through the promotion of tourism.

Chairman of the Nepal China Chamber of Commerce, Tribhuwandhar Tuladhar, said that this will be a dynamic example to encourage exports by replacing the prevailing imports in the country and China would support Nepal in everything for its development and prosperity.
