Krishna Sitaula’s entry in Parliament

Kathmandu, January 26: Krishna Sitaula is one of those who became MP even after defeating the election for the House of Representatives. A Nepali Congress candidate from a constituency in Jhapa district, defeated the election for the House of Representatives by Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Rajendra Lingden last year.

The same candidate has entered Parliament through the National Assembly. So far, other candidates defeated the HoR election have won the election of the NA.

NC leader Sitaula, a candidate from the alliance partners in the government, won the National Assembly election from Koshi Province. His journey doesn’t end by becoming an NA member.

The Maoist Center chairman and Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal has given a green signal for electing Sitaula to the post of chairman of the National Assembly. Sitaula, however, is also eyeing the post of home minister.

The defeated candidate in the HoR membership election is getting entry into Parliament and becoming the NA chairman or the home minister, which is an insult to the people’s mandate.
