HM’s Indian trip meaningful

The world’s lone Hindu King, Nepal’s King Birindra, appears of late to have a special place in the officialization of Hindu activities in secular India too.

His visit this time, one of four he has made to India since the changes in Nepal, has to do with religious activities such as the inauguration of a temple in the conservative South.

His Majesty’s receptions in India are learned to have been especially warm at people to people leave.

Rumours are, however, that this private trip may be followed soon by a trip to the West, maybe one to the U.S. This gives meaning, if true, to the imminent India visit.
