NA elections: Ballot papers reached in all seven provinces

Kathmandu, January 20: The Election Commission has printed and delivered the ballot papers for the National Assembly member elections to be held on January 25 to the Election Officer’s offices. As of Friday, the ballot papers have been delivered to the Election Officer’s offices in all seven provinces, informed Sridhar Panthi, the Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission.

For the National Assembly elections, separate ballots have been prepared for the members of the provincial assemblies and the head and deputy head of the local levels. Ballot papers have been printed on white paper with details and election symbols in green ink for members of the state assembly.

According to the Commission, ballot papers with details of red ink and election symbols have been printed on white paper for the chairperson and vice chairperson of the local municipalities and the head and deputy head of the municipality. Assistant spokesperson Panthi said that a total of 6,910 ballot papers of 38 types were printed for voting.
