Former King visits Mushar village

Kathmandu, January 20: Former King Gyanendra visited the Mushar village in Jitpur Sub Municipality 6 today.

The settlement for 20 Mushar families (those who eat the mouse and are considered to be the deprived community) is constructed by Prabhu Shumsher JB Rana and Raji Rana Welfare Trust. The Trust handed over the 20 settlements to the community in September last year.

Former Queen Komal, daughter Prerana, and other members of the Royal family accompanied the King during the visit. 

King Gyanendra visited the houses constructed in the settlement area and mingled with the residents. 

King Gyanendra spent one hour in the settlement area and also drank a cup of tea with the community. 

The Musahar community organized a musical program in honor of the King. 

On the occasion, a lunch was prepared for the community in the settlement. The King also inspected the cuisine and insisting the community members take lunch. 

For some time, the King and the Royal Family have been staying in Parsa.
