Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal inaugurated a water tap in Kathmandu and tasted the water. The other ministers did the same. In fact, the ceremony was organized to inaugurate the supply of drinking water from the Melamchi Drinking Water Project.
This is the fifth time that it has been inaugurated. We are not sure whether we will get the Melamchi water around the year as the Melamchi River temporarily diverted towards the main intake for supplying the drinking water to the Kathmanduites. Nobody can say what will happen during the rainy season. Maybe we see such a funny video of the inauguration again and again!
Kathmandu Metropolis Mayor Balen Shah even commented on the PM’s inauguration show, saying, “How many times do you want to win the hearts of the people by doing the same for the fifth time?”.
Worried leaders
“The present system with federalism, secularism, and republicanism is the best political system,” those leaders in power laude.
In the meantime, they say that those pro-monarchist forces are raising their heads against this system.
Meanwhile, they don’t forget to say that the kings’ days have already gone and the monarchy will not return.
A burning question to our readers is, “Will the present system continue?”
A white elephant
Prime Minister Pushpakamal Daal believes that the country is passing through a recession. Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat says that the economy was in crisis and now it has taken a proper shape.
The report from the Auditor General’s Office has produced the report that the government, in the past six months of the current fiscal year, the government has failed to collect the targeted revenue and taken debts to meet the expenditure.
News reports state that the government has not been able to spend the development fund as expected. On the other hand, many construction companies are running behind different power centers requesting to release their dues in the construction of different projects.
The main disease of our ruined economy is federalism. Due to this, the government is facing an economic crisis. What do the campaigners of federalism say?
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Inauguration of the Melamchi drinking water again and again is a good example of Plato’s ‘Timocracy’.

Although Melamchi quenched the leader’s thirst to earn money, it did not quench the people’s thirst for water.

Prithvi Narayan Shah was able to practice inclusiveness during the unification of Nepal. Madhesi, Muslims, tribes, women, Dalits, Khas…all of them together made possible the unification of Nepal. All communities and classes have made their remarkable investment in the foundation of the present Nepal. Let’s be proud of the Great King!
Rajesh Ahiraj
Prithvi Narayan Shah did not increase the land by passing the registration in Malpot or by making false documents. He united Nepal by fighting a war to build a healthy and prosperous nation. So let’s not devalue history by hanging the ‘geographical’ or other adjectives on the unification of the nation.

One good thing is that since 2064 BS the Maoists have continuously made their party smaller, smaller, and smaller. Let this party continue it. It is in favor of the country and the people. Because if the problem becomes small, it is better for us.
Muma Ram Khanal
Don’t forget, not Protestant (Lutheran in Scandinavia) work ethics produced this culture Gandhi, Mao, and Lenin, brought it to their countries some more successfully than others. Nepal’s problem is fraudulent leaders mouthing “communism/socialism” but practising labor-despising feudalism!

A British company that bought 80 percent of the shares of Ncell. And the coordinator of the high-level committee formed to investigate returned from Britain.
Is there any reason to doubt it?

Culturally, no matter what religion, caste, or political belief you belong to any party or monarchist or republican, but if you insult the nation builder Prithvi Narayan, you are a burden to Nepal! You may have Nepali citizenship, but you do not have a Nepali soul.
Jayantanath Kanal
Since Prithvi Narayan established Nepal, we have been able to be proud of ourselves as Nepalese! Whoever insults Prithvi Narayan, has insulted the entire nation of Nepal. There is no exemption for insulting the nation anywhere in the United States, France, Russia, China or India.
