Kathmandu, January 15: A delegation led by the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Yunnan Provincial Committee’s Deputy Director General of the Propaganda Department, Peng Bin, is in town.
The high-level six-member delegation led by Peng arrived on January 13, and visited the Aastha Media on Sunday, January 14.
The delegation members also held a meeting with Kishor Shrestha, chairman of the Nepal-China Media Forum and also the chairman of Aastha Prakashan Pvt. Ltd., Kishor Shrestha.
Leader Peng emphasized that the journalists and media of both countries should work together on matters of bilateral interest and praised the role played by the Nepal-China Media Forum and Jan Astha for that. He has also promised to support the development of the media sector, including the training of journalists.
During the meeting, Chairman Shrestha expressed his belief that since there are many similarities in climate, art, and culture, communication cooperation will help to bring the relationship between Nepal and Yunnan to a higher level.
The Chinese team also visited different media houses on the same day.
