Kathmandu, January 15: The Chinese Embassy, Yunnan Province’s Information Office, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yunnan Province jointly organized the Chinese New Year Reception with the 2024 “Voices of Spring Golden Dreams” Cross Border Spring Festival Evening Gala and Inauguration Ceremony of the First Chinese New Year Celebration in Nepal on Sunday, January 14.
Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal inaugurated the event.
On the occasion, different Chinese traditional cultural performances were displayed by Chinese performers.
In his inaugural address, PM Dahal expressed the Nepal government’s commitment to the One China Principle and said Nepal’s stance about Taiwan as an integral part of China.
Chinese Ambassador Chen Song wished for the successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative signed during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal.
