Kathmandu, 13 January: Noted poet Bimal Baidhya’s poetry collection “Yugko Tatma Ubhiyera” (Standing at the brink of the era) was released today amidst a function in Kathmandu.
This is the fourth compilation of poems penned by Baidhya.
A journalist turned poet, Baidhya is a multi-talent personality from Ilam. Baidhya has been engaged in penning creative poems since he quit the profession of journalism.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Tulshi Diwas, shedding light on Baidhya’s poems, said that one should not write poems following another’s style and tradition.
“Yesterday has already passed; we should not follow the practices of writing poems as in the past,” Diwas said.
The chair of the ceremony, Ganesh Rashik, cited the multi-dimensional talent of Baidhya.
Baidhya, talking about his poem, said that poems should not be similar to an address or speech or slogans. There should be feelings of humanity, Baidhya said.
