At a time when major political parties have come together stating that the Federal Democratic System is under attack, especially after December 7 last year, when businessman Durga Prasain alone shook the chairs of the leaders prompting them to extend the prohibited area in Kathmandu and organise a counter rally, popularity of the deposed king is soaring high.
It was evident from the mass gathered at the grand civic reception organised in Bhairahawa recently. Thousands of people throng Bhairahawa to see and listen to the former monarch. The masses chanted slogans like ‘Come King, save Nepal and our king, our pride.
In his brief address, the king urged people to save the soil of Nepal putting aside the dispute and conflict.
Earlier, similar crowds gathered to receive the King in Jhapa and Bhakatpur in December last year.
