Parties’ position in NA likely to be changed after elections

Kathmandu, January 9: After the National Assembly elections next month, the present position of the political parties in the NA is likely to be changed.

The UML, which is the largest party in the National Assembly, is likely to be degraded to the third largest party. The second-largest party, the Maoist Center, is likely to be promoted as the largest party.

Accordingly, the Nepali Congress, which is the third-largest party at present, is likely to be promoted to the second-largest party if the voters of the alliance partners cast their votes honestly.

The present scenario reflects that the UML is likely to lose its existing nine seats if it contests elections alone against the candidates from the alliance partners.
