Kathmandu, 6 January: The government today decided to constitute a probe committee to investigate the killing of Jayshankar Shah, a resident of Sarlahai from the police firing on Friday.
Moreover, the government has decided to give one million rupees to the family of Jaishankar, who died from the police firing on Friday.
Locals were agitated over the issue of ownership of the hospital in Barathahawa, Sarlahai district.
Shah died in the confrontation between the locals and the police.
Locals have denied receiving the dead body and are demanding action against the police who killed Shah.
The district administration has imposed a curfew since Friday to bring the situation under control.
