Kathmandu, 30 December: SP Navraj Karki of District Police Complex Lalitpur informed that 54 people were detained by the police after setting fire to the vehicle of Physical, Infrastructure, and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala on the Gwarko-Balkumari road section of Lalitpur on Friday afternoon.
The youth, agitated after they were denied attending the EPS examination, set fire to the official vehicle numbered 2 Jh 5861 of Minister Jwala.
The police opened fire on the demonstrating youths. Two youths died from the police firing on the protestors.
