
Kathmandu, 30 December: Major political parties have criticized the government’s negligence in the Bal Kumari incident. The Nepali Congress has drawn the attention of the government to investigate the incident. In a press release, NC publicity department chief Min Bishwokarma drew the NC’s attention to both the incidents of torching the minister’s vehicle and the subsequent death of the protesters.
Similarly, the CPN UML has also demanded an impartial probe into the Bal Kumari incident. UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel urged the government not to lose patience and expressed sorrow over the incident.
President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has said that the incident in Balkumari has exposed the incompetence of the Ministry of Home Affairs once again.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has accused the government of losing restraint and firing at the unemployed youths who did not have the environment to eat at home.
Two youths seeking jobs in South Korea were killed following the police firing and lathi-charge.
