Federal republic turns into a corruption and smuggling system: Kamal Thapa

Kathmandu, 28 December: Kamal Thapa, Chairman, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, has commented that the Federal Republic has now turned into a corruption and smuggling system.

He made this comment while addressing the meeting and training program of the RPP-Nepal held in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Thapa said that under the guise of loktantra, the syndicate of some political parties has been established, and the federal republic has turned into a corruption and smuggling-oriented system.

He said, “The syndicate of some political parties has been established under the guise of democracy.” Instead of strengthening democracy, totalitarianism has prevailed. The federal republic has turned into a system of corruption and smuggling. The movement and influence of foreign powers have increased rapidly. Nepal has become a strategic competition ground for international superpowers, Thapa remarked.

He objected to Culture Minister Sudan Kirati’s statement that, “those who do not believe in Christianity are anti-constitutional.”

“The minister in charge of the cultural ministry made a very objectionable statement that those who object to Christianity should be jailed. What could be more objectionable than this?”

Thapa said, “It is a conspiracy and insult against 94 percent of those who believe in Sanatan Dharma. “Why the person who has no faith in Pashupatinath and no emotional attachment with the Hindu religion, is given the portfolio of the culture,” Thapa questioned.
