
Kathmandu, 26 December: The Newar community in the Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country is observing Yomari Punhi. ‘Yomari’ is a delicious food, which is cooked on the full moon day, according to the lunar calendar.
Yomari Punhi is being observed after the cultivation of paddy and cooking from the first rice received from the farmland.
