Kathmandu, 25 December: The investigation committee of the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office concluded that Meen Bahadur Ghale and his group smuggled 138 kg of gold. Out of this, 14 kg of gold was seized by the customs office last time.

Chandra Ghale, who came to Kathmandu from Dubai, was arrested by the customs office with 14 kg of gold. Meen Bahadur Ghale of Gorkha was also arrested in that process.

During the investigation conducted by the committee formed by the customs office to investigate the incident, Meen Bahadur contacted a person named Ankit Agarwal in Dubai and arranged a gold smuggling scheme in Nepal.

The investigation committee said, “Time and time again, Min Bahadur Ghale, Chandra Ale and Krishna Kumar Shrestha brought a total of 138 kg of gold and brought it out of the airport after adjusting the settings. It seems that only 14 kg of Chandra Ghale was arrested last time.”
