Former Chairman of Citizens Bank Gautam honored 

 

Kathmandu, 25 December: Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank Kulchandra Gautam has been honored by the 37th Annual General Meeting of Nepal Bankers Association. Gautam was honored by the 37th annual general meeting of the association held in Chitwan on Saturday.

In the presence of Nepal Rastra Bank’s Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari, Gautam was honored in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the economic and social sector in various capacities, including as Chairman of Citizens Bank.

Gautam also served as the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Peace Process and International Affairs for Nepal, Adviser on the World Bank South Asia Food and Nutrition Security Initiative, and Chairman of the Citizens Bank Board of Directors in the past. 

He has been contributing to the development of poverty alleviation, the peace process, global health, basic education, diplomacy and banking sector, and the development of the entire economy for more than five decades by joining various positions in national and international organizations.
