Noted literate, poet, political analyst, and scholar Madan Regmi has been bedridden for years.
He is suffering from different diseases, including depression. Due to the urinal problem, he cannot roam around.
Just recently, Regmi celebrated his birthday. He is now 80 plus. When his well-wishers extended the birthday greetings, he wrote a poem.
Unofficial translation of the poem in Nepali:
Please don’t pray for a long life for me; it has already been enough!
It becomes difficult to continue life, and it also becomes difficult to dispose of what has not been wished for.
A friend had said that the old and disease-ruined body is a curse!
How long to wait is unknown.
Days are coming by adding more trouble!
