No driving license for the past six months

Kathmandu, 24 December: Due to the shortage of cards with electric chips, the Transportation Management Department has been unable to print driver’s licenses for the past six months. 

Those, who have renewed licenses and also who have passed the driving examination are unable to get the license.

However, the Department has managed the license for those who are going abroad for jobs and study.

Daily from four to six thousand people pass the driving examination and around 1.4 million people are unable to get a driving license.
