Sri Lankan FM pays courtesy call on President Paudel

Kathmandu, 22 December: Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali Sabri paid a courtesy call to President Ramachandra Paudel today.

In the meeting held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan Sheetal Niwas on Friday, President Paudel recalled that the then Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa had said that Lumbini would be a cultural destination of the world during his visit to Nepal and stressed that the cultural relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka should be strengthened and expanded.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Sabri expressed the opinion that it is necessary to further strengthen the cultural relations between the two countries, as well as to increase the possibility of investment between the two countries, informed the President’s Press Adviser Kiran Pokharel.
