Kathmandu, 22 December: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL), the only Bank in the Nepalese banking industry with the wide acceptance of world-famous card brands American Express, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay and Visa has won multiple awards, “Excellence in POS Acquiring Business 2023” and “Excellence in Consumer Cards – Prepaid 2023”.
Amidst a ceremony organized by VISA, both awards were handed over to the Bank by the various eminent guests including chief guest Bam Bahadur Mishra, Deputy Governer, Nepal Rastra Bank and Basu Soumya, Country Manager of VISA for Nepal. The Bank holds the record of winning the same title continuously in the past as well. At present, HBL is the only bank in Nepal with wide acceptance of popular international card brands. This has made it easier for national and international customers to make payment through various AIM, POS and E-Commerce Gateway of the Bank.
The Bank has added internationally popular brands like Diners/Discover and Rupay to its card acceptance list.
