Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal’s granddaughter and daughter of Bharatpur Metropolis Corporation, Renu Dahal’s marriage, has become the talk of the town.
The Maoists, during those “people’s war” days, were practising the “Janawadi Marriage,” which used to be very simple, and the ceremony used to be completed after exchanging garlands by the bride and groom. Those days are gone today. The marriage of PM Dahal’s granddaughter was held at the five-star hotel, and a lavish party was thrown there. One can assume how much money the parents spent on the event.
When the PM and his daughter Renu were busy in the marriage ceremony, reports were coming from Jajarkot and Rukum West that the earthquake victims were dying from the cold. According to the Police record, 34 victims were killed as they were compelled to spend nights under the thin tents. Many of the earthquake victims were unable to get food and other relief support.
Dozens of VIPs, including the President and the PM visited or say went for a sightseen tour of the quake-hit area by misusing government helicopters, yet, the victims didn’t get relief support.
If the PM and the Mayor had a little sense of humanity, they would have observed the marriage ceremony without spending money and the funds allotted for the marriage should have been spent distributing essential goods and food for the quake victims.
One Maoist cadre remarked that “Prachanda” is no more a communist leader as his class has already been upgraded.

The Dahal dynasty
Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal’s daughters have married those belonging to different castes, they are still using “Dahal” as a family name. Will Renu Dahal’s daughter, who married a Pandey, continue to use Dahal as her family name? Just a curiosity.
Helpless PM Dahal
Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal expressed his dissatisfaction with the ministers in his cabinet for their bad performance. But those angry ministers blamed PM Dahal for being responsible for the poor performance of the government led by Dahal himself. The ministers blamed PM Dahal’s men are directly intervening in their works. Meanwhile, Amrishkumar Singh, an independent MP, has claimed that he has the evediance of the involvement of PM Dahal and his daughter Ganga in the manipulation of the Ncell revenue.
Dahal and corruption are synonymous with each other!
