Kathmandu, 9 December: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the present coalition government of being afraid of neighbours from raising issues related to nationalism.
He accused Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal of losing a foothold as the government failed to raise the question of the new map (Nepal’s map incorporating Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek) in the high-level dialogue.
Oli, who reached Gorkha on Saturday as part of the Sankalp Yatra-2080 (Commitment Journey) for the prosperity of Jhulaghat-Chivabhanjyang centred on the Pushpalal Mid-Hill Highway, recalled that Nepal had prepared a joint report on the three territories occupied by India.
He argued that the government became weak on the issue of nationality out of fear that neighbours would get angry.
“What would this government do with the report prepared jointly by us?” Oli questioned.
