Kathmandu, 3 December: A joint bench of Justices Janak Pandey and Prakash Kharel of the Patan High Court upheld the order of the District Court, Kathmandu. The District Court had remanded Rayamajhi into judicial custody.
Rayamajhi had knocked on the High Court against the District Court’s order to keep him in custody. The High Court has also ordered him to keep him in custody.
However, the High Court has granted bail to Sandeep, son of former Deputy Prime Minister Rayamajhi. He has been asked to furnish a bail of Rs 1 million.
The High Court has ordered the release of Bhutanese refugee leader Teknath Rijal on bail. A bail of Rs 1.5 million has been sought from him.
