
Kathmandu, 30 November: Lawyers will now be able to advocate in cases even if they are not physically present in the court or bench. Lawyers will be able to advocate virtually from their place of residence.
Earlier, such a facility was introduced in the Supreme Court, High Court Dipayal, and Ilam Bench of High Court Biratnagar. Now there will be virtual debates and hearings in six high courts.
Chief Justice Bishwokarma Prasad Shrestha launched the online hearing service from six high courts on Thursday.
Chief Justice Shrestha on Thursday introduced online hearing services at the Jumla bench of the Surkhet High Court, the Dhankuta bench of Biratnagar, the Mahendranagar bench of Dipayal, and the Hetauda bench of Patan.
