Police arrest those who have reached Tinkune for the protest

Kathmandu, 24 November: The police have started arresting those who came to Tinkune for the protest. On the call of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, the protesters had reached Tinkune.

Prasain had prepared to protest in the Tinkunne area from Friday to overthrow the present system and introduce the Hindu kingdom.

The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has said that Prasain did not get permission for the protest in the Tinkune area. The police said that only those who are considered ‘suspicious’ have been detained.

The administration had designated Balkhu for Prasain’s protest on Thursday.

Prasain has tried to continue the movement. On Thursday, CPN (UML)’s sister organization, Yuva Sangh, demonstrated in the Tinkune area.

Meanwhile, Durga Prasain is under house arrest at his residence in Bhaktapur. A heavy police force has been deployed around Prasain’s house.
