20 NA members’ tenure ends on 3 March

Kathmandu, 7 November: The Election Commission has started preparations for the election of 20 National Assembly members, which is going to remain vacant from 3 March 2024.

According to the constitution, the election should be held by February 2024. The Commission has started consultation for the election of the National Assembly. 

20 posts of the National Assembly members including chairman Ganesh Timilsina are completing their tenure as members of the NA. They are 9 from the UML, 4 from the Nepali Congress, 3 from the Maoist Center, 2 from the Unified Socialist Party, 1 from the Janata Samajwadi Party and one independent.
