Kathmandu, November 3: Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder expressed hope for bringing back Nepali student Bippin Joshi alive from the abduction by the Hamas group, as the Israeli troops have already been moved to Gaza City and started a search operation to free 240 foreign nationals, including Joshi.
Organizing a candle-lighting function at his residence on Thursday, November 2, paying tribute to ten Nepali students brutally killed by the Hamas terrorist group, the Ambassador expressed his deep sorrow over the deaths of ten innocent Nepali students and the missing one, Bipin Joshi.
Declining the possibility of a ceasefire with the terrorist group, Ambassador Godar said that there is no chance of a ceasefire unless the terrorist group is disarmed and dismissed. However, if the terrorist group surrenders and goes out of Gaza City, the military operation can be stopped, the envoy said.
Joshi was abducted by the Hamas group from Kibbutz on October 7.
“We are in a war since 7 October. The Hamas terrorists have murdered 14 innocent people by entering Israeli territory. The Israeli force has started a search operation in Gaza City and the force will return only after arresting those who were involved in the terrorist act on 7 October,” the envoy said.
“We don’t want war, but we cannot stay in Israel, keeping aside the poisonous snakes,” he said and added, that the Israeli military will not return without eliminating the Hamas terrorist group.
Three students who were able to save their lives described what had happened in the city on 7 October early morning till 8 p.m. night and how they were able to save their lives at a time when their friends were dying from grenade blasts by the Hamas terrorists.
Nepali students Birendra Chaudhari from Kailali, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhari from Kailali and Pravin KC from Salyan were present at the candle-lighting function on fond memories of ten Nepali students.
The three Nepali students described the brutality performed by the terrorist group Hamas. When the Nepali and Thai students were taking shelter in a kitchen bunker, the terrorist group entered there and blindly opened fire killing their friends in front of them, which was a horrible scene, they described.
“Our wounded friends were seeking help and asking for water, but we were not been able to provide them water,” they described the horrible scenario of 7 October.
They appreciated the Israel Police and Israel Army for rescuing them when the situation came under control.
The three also faced minor injuries on their body due to the grenade blast.
