Kathmandu, 17 September: Ten persons have been arrested along with 3 kg 239 grams of marijuana and 268.210 grams of brown heroin brought from the USA through the postal service.
As per special information received from the USA, 10 people were arrested when they came to receive the parcel.
According to Chakraraj Joshi, Superintendent of Police of the Nepal Police, an investigation has been started against them as per the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, 2033. SP Joshi, informing about the arrests today, said that they were arrested after marijuana was found in the parcel.
According to the Police, 900 grams of marijuana were recovered from a parcel that was sent from the US through the post office to be received at the district post office in Birgunj. Dalluram of Birgunj and Haviv Mia of the same place were arrested during a ‘control delivery’ to find the person coming to collect the cartoon parcel.
