It seems Nepali leaders who had been in the helms of power for years do not trust the medical services available in Nepal. They tend to fly overseas for medical check-ups whenever they face any health issues. A few weeks ago President Ram Chandra Paudel went to India for treatment. Now NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzoo Deuba are in Singapore for a health check-up. It is said that Deuba has problems with his stomach and he reached Singapore for a follow-up. Arzu, who had flown to India several times for treatment has reached Singapore for the same.
Although President Paudel visited the hospital twice after returning from India and was fitted with a pacemaker on Tuesday, Deuba has been in Singapore for a week.
It is also suspected that Deuba reached Singapore to meet the representatives of RAW, the Indian intelligence.
