Indian evil eye on Bhairahawa International Airport

BABBLES

By Babbler

India has denied providing the shortest routes for Nepal for the smooth operation of the two newly constructed international airports – Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa and Pokhara Regional International Airport in Pokhara. Due to the Indian non-cooperation, the two airports have not been able to come into commercial operation.

Some private-sector airline companies have shown interest in operating cross-border flights to Indian destinations but the Indian authorities have shown reluctance.

According to sources, Indians want to operate these airports constructed by China under Indian management. The Indian intention is to take into the airports under its control.

Nepal and India enjoy very cordial relations, yet, the sad part is that the Indians never forget to give trouble to Nepal performing a hegemonic attitude.

Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali

Nepali people have very little expectation. When Dharan Sub Metropolis Mayor Harka Shampang Rai brought water through a labour-donation campaign, the people in Dharan became very happy.

If other people’s representatives will also try to serve their voters like Mayor Harka Shampang, soon, Nepal would become prosperous and people become happy.

But those party workers’ priority is to loot the nation, which, they have defined — socialism.

Where to go for justice?

According to the Nepali belief the King, teacher and father are regarded as the highly respected personalities in the society. A teacher is even ranked above the king. A teacher (Guru) is thus titled with “Sree 6” whereas the king is “Shree 5”.

In this loktantra (popularly known as loot-tantra) our ancestors’ thoughts and beliefs don’t exist.

Assistant Professor Prem Chalaune has staged a fast unto-death hunger strike in front of the office of the vice-chancellors at Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur, seeking justice or say punishment for those students who were involved in a bloody attack on him.

Helpless Chalaune knocked on the Court’s door seeking justice but the government of criminals in power decided to suspend the case. After the government decided to drop the case related to an attempt to murder against the attackers (gundas belonging to the sister organization of the Nepali Congress), Chalaune attempted to sit in at the District Court but the Police arrested him and forced him to quit the place. Now, Chaulane is launching a hunger strike in Kirtipur.

This is perhaps the example of socialism performed by those socialist leaders in the government.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

That was the time when the parliamentary democratic system was abducted. We were in the movement together. But later Girija Prasad Koirala himself made a hybrid constitution in 2063 BS under the 12-point Delhi Agreement which was accepted by the leaders of all the parties following the Indian wishes. The constitution is going to bankrupt the nation.

Kamal Prasad Koirala

Prachanda, who lost his political status and became the Prime Minister with 32 MPs only by the undemocratic blessings of KP Oli and Deuba. Ambitious but weak men may be useful to the outside world, but to an independent country, such men are unproductive. Prachanda not only proved it in his case, but he also proved that the other three chieftains are mainly in his own line. However, the country will not cry at the farewell and collective collapse of these leaders.

Kaji Kalu Pandey and Senapati Shivaram Singh Basnyat were two hands of King Prithvi Narayan Shah. They made their supreme sacrifices for the noble cause of the unification of Nepal. Yet they are not declared as national luminaries. The government should recognize them as luminaries at the earliest.

The Inca Empire in Peru five hundred years ago was the most prosperous of all North American countries, left behind by the wrong policies of the Spanish Empire. Argentina was a richer country than Great Britain until the nineteenth century, but it fell behind because democracy and inclusion did not succeed. Nepal should learn something from these.

There is such a problem that tomatoes in Nepal do not have a market, but the nation is importing vegetables from India under the pretext of collecting customs! Until Indian vegetables are not stopped, indigenous products will not get market within the country. The government is sleeping, we the people should boycott Indian vegetables from now on!

Harka Sampang Rai

Even in developed countries that have adopted a very liberal international trade policy, import bans or high tariffs on agricultural products have been practised.

Why the policy of unrestricted import of Indian agricultural products in Nepal (not even checking for pesticides)? Debate on this topic is essential!

Nepal will not get even 2100 MW of electricity if Arun 3 model is followed. They also export electricity that is supposed to be given for free to Nepal.

Ratna Sansar Shrestha

There is a need of Harak Sampang to set priorities in every sector of Nepali society and make all efforts to achieve them. Congratulations to the chief of the city of Dharan, and congratulations to the people of Dharan!

Leftism has become the root cause of the country’s suffering and the former democratic party Nepali Congress is also playing the role of the left wing’s main supporter. If the true Nepalis do not delay in standing up for the country, Nepal will be saved, otherwise, many types of Zelenskys are being raised as alternatives. Now, to save the country from becoming Ukraine or Afghanistan, the common Nepali people should be alert and organized.

Devprakash Tripathi

The sign of the economic collapse of Nepal is frightening. But the leaders who are indulging in looting are not interested in that. They are delighted to hear the songs of the hymn singers of this political system.

It is a long-term threat to the economy.
