Lawmaker Shahi seeks PM Dahal’s resignation

Kathmandu, 11 June: Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. RPP Chief Whip Gyan Bahadur Shahi demanded Prime Minister Dahal’s resignation at the meeting of the House of Representatives this afternoon.

A case of war crimes has been registered against Prime Minister Dahal at the Supreme Court and it has summoned him to appear in court on June 13. Lawmaker Shahi said that Dahal  should resign arguing that he cannot appear in the court as the Prime Minister. “A case has been registered against the Prime Minister in the Supreme Court for heinous war crimes, he has no moral ground to remain in the seat of the Prime Minister following the registration of the criminal case against him, ” Shahi clarified.
