BABBLES

“To get respect and honour, one should be strong and powerful”, remarked Baburam Bhattarai, an ally of Pushpakamal Dahal. Bhattarai made such a remark when comments were flooded on the humiliating treatment performed by the host country to our Prime Minister visiting India.
Of course, better late than never, Bhattarai has realized the truth. What should we do to become strong, Bhattarai must have understood. A strong economy, strong army, and honest and patriotic political leaderships are the characteristics to become strong. First of all, our political leaders should give up the slavery attitude and become a strong commitment to nation-building.
PM Dahal’s prestige
What is the height of Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal, during his visit to India, the Indians have exposed it.
How is our government functioning and how is the functioning of the foreign ministry, have also been exposed.
Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Dhevol and external affairs secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra reached Hotel Maurya to meet PM Dahal, we could see Kwatra was taking notes but on PM Dahal’s side, his daughter Ganga was playing with her mobile set.
Reports state that both the chief secretary and foreign secretary were out of reach. Where were the foreign minister and other ministers nobody knows!
PM Dahal has realized it
Nepal is to be elevated to the status of a developing country from a less developed countries’ status.
Contradictly, progress specially in the economic field is hopeless.
What could be the reason, perhaps, Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal has got the answer.
Dahal said that the main reason behind the declining national production and the inclining level of unemployment problem in the country is politicization in all sectors.
Yes, we also believe it. Then does he dare to depoliticise the non-political sectors?
Bitter truth
Nepal is the country where the highest rate of income tax has been imposed on the citizens among the South Asian countries. Besides, the problem of multiple taxation and indirect taxation is very high. Even though, the government revenue is less than the general sector expenditure.
The reason is the adoption of the expensive model of federalism which has tried to manage political leaders and party workers more than the commoners. Where do we reach by walking on this path?
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
The question is whether to continue distributing citizenship based on birth and changing the base year by keeping open borders. The distribution of citizenship based on birth has been misused, and it should be investigated.

Earlier, we accepted a few hundred pieces of tents from China. Now, we have been gifted 15 buffaloes by India.
The President and top-ranking leaders are being rushed to expensive foreign hospitals by air ambulance even if they suffer from common ailments and could be treated within the country.
And, we say it is an “offensive move”.

More than 4600-megawatt hydropower projects have been developed for exportable purposes. Meanwhile, they are saying to build new petroleum pipelines to bring more petroleum products from India. When and how petroleum products will be replaced by hydropower?

It becomes clear that with the fear that they may become angry the EPG issue was not raised; the unequal treaty of 1950 was not touched; the SAARC Summit was not pronounced; it was not felt essential to remove the Indian soldiers from Kalapanani; construction works on the border was not asked; the issue of Agneepath was not raised; no additional air routes were allowed.
Even though, the visit is said to be historical as there was an electricity purchase deal.

The national and state level benchmark has fallen to the earth and it is now very difficult to raise it.
Not only the politicians, but all of us who consider ourselves “in the know” of this country are equally responsible for that.
Once we do not seek a “new understanding” among monarchy, political parties and the people for the sake of this country and future generations, our decay will only intensify not decline.

The acquisition of land elsewhere as an alternative to our India-occupied territory in Kalapani-Limpiyadhura is a matter of broad national consensus.
Prachanda spoke hastily about this and tried to be a little unfair.

From Tibetan refugees to Bhutanese, and Bangladeshi refugees, everyone who entered using the open border with India will now get Nepali citizenship easily.

At the dinner organized by Jawaharlal Nehru, all the representatives of Nepal appeared in formal dress brought from London.
Nehru and his daughter Indira were then surprised when Vijaya Shumsher (son of Mohan Shumsher) gifted Indira a gold-studded ruby necklace worth 45,000 Indian rupees.
Rammani Acharya Dixit has stated this in his book.
He wrote, “Dakota aircraft could be bought for 245,000 at that time”. It can be easily understood that the father and son gifted the necklace to Indira to convey the message that Nepalis are not inferior.

By giving 15 Gujarati buffaloes to Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, India has given a clear message that those with similar status should be rewarded the same.

Buffalo could be bought and brought. How much insult to the country? Asking for everything for free?

The government that recommended the issuance of the citizenship bill and the president who approved it have trampled on the constitution, law and national interest.
