The government is all set to present the policy and programme for the coming fiscal year at the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Friday.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday informed Speaker Devraj Ghimire about the government scheduled to present the policy and programme during a meeting between the two at Singh the Baluwatar residence of the PM.
Constitutionally, the President unveils the policy document of the government in the joint meeting of the Parliament. But this time it is not clear yet whether President Ram Chandra Paudel will be able to unveil the policy and programme because he has returned home after undergoing treatment in India only recently. If President Paudel cannot read out the lengthy document, Vice President Ram Sahay Yadav will be presenting it. However, it has not been clear whether President or Vice President will unveil the policy and programme on Friday.
After presenting the policy document on Friday, the government will unveil the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24 at the end of this month.
