Kathmandu, 17 April: The tourists who go for the trek have to pay an insurance of Rs. 1million. Based on the Gandaki Province Tourism Act, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment has issued the Provincial Tourism Regulations.
A provision has been added that tourists should pay for personal accident insurance of the guides and other helpers accompanying them when trekking in the tourist areas of Gandaki province.
Keeping in mind the possible risks that may occur while trekking, insurance arrangements have been made.
