Umesh and Anjan to compete again for Senior VP, Shanghai out

Kathmandu, 13 April: Ramchandra Sanghai, the Senior Vice President’s competitor has been dropped out of the election held on Wednesday for the selection of the new leadership of the Federation of Nepali Chamber of Commerce and Industry. After none of the three competing candidates secured 50 percent of the votes, the two candidates who got the most votes, Umesh Lal Shrestha and Anjan Shrestha, will compete again.

In order to be elected as Senior Vice President, at least 1 vote more than 50 percent must be obtained in the first phase, but after all the three candidates did not get the required votes, the second phase of the election is  eing held. Along with Shanghai, Umesh Lal and Anjan were competing for the position.
