PM busy in helicopter junkets, reluctant in resolving burning crisis

By Our Reporter

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been too busy inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of minor projects one after another. He is also spending most of his time attending several functions as their chief guest every day. He is so busy that he attends at least four formal programmes a day, half of them outside the Kathmandu Valley.

On Monday, he attended three programmes in Kathmandu while on Sunday he flew to Kanchanpur to address the convocation ceremony of the Far Western University. On Tuesday, he attended three functions in Kathmandu before chairing the Cabinet meeting in the afternoon and holding a meeting of major parties on the Transitional Justice Bill.

Considering the number of programmes the PM has been attending over the weeks, NC general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa said the other day that the PM should stop only inaugurating or addressing the functions and use his time in constructive works.
