All are the same

BABBLES

By Babbler

The voters seeking clean leadership had voted for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) with enthusiasm. How clean is RSP, it has surfaced along with the release of an audio record in which MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha is demanding 20 million rupees from medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain.

MP Shrestha had demanded 20 million rupees at the cost of serving Prasain’s interests after becoming the health minister in the previous government.

Shrestha, however, didn’t become the minister but it seems true that he had demanded cash as support for becoming the minister after party chair Ravi Lamichhane’s core team members asked Shrestha to submit 20 million rupees for becoming the minister.

Since the country entered into the loktantrik system, the practice of paying a commission in advance to get any important assignments is normal. 20 million rupees is not a big amount as the supreme leaders are found demanding 60 million rupees just for an ambassadorial assignment. Let’s be clear that nothing is free in loktantra and all are the same.

The institution of monarchy was ended by the present-day political leaders not because it was an autocratic institution but because the leaders were unable to practice daylight loot.

He is Binod Chaudhari

Binod Chaudhary is a dollar-billionaire Nepali national and Nepali Congress MP. How he became a dollar billionaire, nobody dares to ask. Many people have become victims of Chaudhary in the past.

Now, Chaudhary is constructing a high-rise five-star hotel and apartment at the Kupondole height. Oddly, Chaudhary and his partners have not taken an approval certificate from the Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation. So far, he was able to amend the government regulation when Raamkumari Jhakri was the minister for urban development and Chaudhary was the MP. The MP’s post is important for the dollar billionaire just to amend rules and regulations in his business interests.

This Babbler could not see news coverage on many big media that the recent half a dozen neighboring houses collapsed due to the construction of the luxury apartment of dollar-billionaire Binod Chaudhary. How Chaudhary has influenced media, becomes clear.

President’s office turns pro-NC workers recruitment center

President Ramchandra Paudel has already resigned from all the posts including general membership of the Nepali Congress. But he is recruiting his advisors, all are pro-Nepali Congress. This is an example that Paudel is still working for the Nepali Congress and he is unable to stand above partisan politics.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

  • After the 1990 political change, the Americans sent Ramsharan Mahat and Mahesh Acharya to Nepal. Indians also didn’t oppose it. The Westerners had designed to collapse the Nepali economy and pave the way for their multinational companies entering into Nepal. Indians enormously benefited by procuring Nepali industries disposed of by the government in the name of liberalization and privatization. In this way, the two expansionist forces benefited from the 1990 political change in Nepal.

  • The country’s existence is in crisis due to increasing political, economic, social and cultural crises. It seems that the current constitution was brought to create this crisis. If this is a mistake, then abandon it and implement the 1990 constitution.

Not only to save the country but also to make it prosperous and developed, this constitution has to be changed.

Slowly, the source of our national income has declined. I don’t understand why. During this great crisis, the 1990 constitution is the only option left for us.

  • Budigandaki Project is not only a hydropower project but also a multi-purpose project where water is more valuable than electricity.

The leaders practising surrenderism instead of making the nation self-reliant never try to understand this reality.

  • Budhi Gandaki Project:

Is the additional/controlled water costing 39.5 million US dollars per year to be given to India for free?

Do not take money for the benefits of flood control in India?

Shouldn’t India share in the cost of the displacement of people in Nepal?

To what extent should we surrender to India?
