
Kathmandu, 11 April: According to Nepal Rastra Bank, 1 trillion 4 billion 440 million rupees were received from abroad as remittances in the month of Falgun (mid-February-mid-March).
Announcing the current economic and financial situation of the country on Tuesday, the Central Bank has informed that more than 1 trillion 4 billion rupees worth of remittance has been received in a single month.
According to the data of the Central Bank, 6 trillion 89 billion 880 million rupees of remittance was received from abroad in the previous month, whereas, at the end of March, the remittance amount has increased to 7 trillion 94 billion 320 million rupees.
The remittance inflow has also increased due to the increase in the number of youths going abroad for foreign employment from Nepal.
