India was not in existence when Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim and Kashmir were sovereign and independent Himalayan kingdoms and the British rulers were unable to bring these nations under its colonial rule.
Nepali nationals had not gone to Kashmir, Bhutan and Sikkim after India was liberated and it got the recognition of an independent nation.
Going through history, during the Malla era in Nepal, the Bhutanese and Sikkimes kings invited thousands of Nepali architecture workers for the development of architecture in their countries. Later, they settled down there.
Today, Sikkimes of Nepali origin, along with Lepachas and Bhutias are organizing demonstrations in Sikkim saying that they were the proud citizens of Sikkim when India did not exist on the political map of the globe.
When the Indian court gave a controversial verdict saying the people of Nepali origin as foreigners, the local people have been agitated and demonstrations are taking place every day in Sikkim.
Conspiracy against people of Nepali origin:
To recall, the Bhutanese king, under the instruction of the Indians, had forcefully ousted Bhutanese citizens of Nepali origin settled down there since the Malla kings’ era, by forcefully capturing their property. The entire nations around the globe know the reality that the forcefully ousted Bhutanese of Nepali origin were forced to enter Nepal by the Indian security personnel from the border point of the India-Bhutan border to the Nepal-India border at Kakarvita. Later, the Bhutanese, who entered Nepal, were granted refugee status by the Nepal government and whenever Nepal wanted to talk and resolve the refugee issue, Bhutan, under the backing of India, always denied to resolve such a sensitive issue.
The idea was to oust the people of Nepali origin from Bhutan and send Indian nationals to Bhutan in the process of increasing the Indian population in Bhutan, so that, in future, Bhutan can be easily annexed into Indian territory. The same game plan is initiated towards Nrpal.
Sikkim was a sovereign and independent nation until the 70s. India made Bhutan its protected nation, whereas, through a conspiracy, India, an expansionist nation in South Asia, which has troubled all its neighbouring countries, annexed Sikkim. Earlier, along with the partition of India and Pakistan, many countries having independent and sovereign states, including Jammu and Kashmir were forcefully occupied by India. Of late, Sri Lanka suffered a civil war for decades. Nepal faced a similar problem. Maldives, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not aloof from facing trouble from India.
Whether the present Indian court verdict is related to ousting the Sikkimies of Nepali origin from Sikkim alike the Bhutanese citizens of Nepali origin, it cannot be denied viewing the Indian hegemonic role.
