Government plans to establish temporary camps in countries without Nepali embassy

Kathmandu, 30 January: The government has decided to establish temporary camps in the countries where Nepali embassies have not been established. After the complaints of a large number of Nepalis getting into trouble in Portugal recently, the government has decided to establish temporary camps in countries where the Nepali embassy has not been established. Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal said that the government is preparing to send a government team to Portugal by next month.

Minister Paudyal said that the government is preparing to take initiatives to solve the problems faced by the Nepalese by deploying mobile teams in countries that do not have embassies and consular services.

“We have heard many things about Portugal, many Nepalis are stranded, and we are ready to open a consulate as soon as possible,” she said.

“In order to solve the problem, we have planned to send a government team to Portugal within a month and facilitate the undocumented and troubled Nepalis there,” she said.
